About me

I’m Gail.

I’ve spent many years working alongside women whose lives haven’t necessarily gone according to plan.

Since 2003, I’ve worked with women in addiction recovery, and since 2009 my professional work has included supporting women affected by addiction, homelessness, trauma and difficult life experiences.

I was also one half of the Space Project, working with women who had experienced having a child removed into care — looking beyond what had happened to the woman herself, the trauma underneath it, and what might help life become more manageable.

I also facilitate the Freedom Programme, working with women to understand domestic abuse, coercive control and the patterns that can sit within relationships.

All of that experience has shaped the way I work now.

I don’t believe somebody else gets to be the expert on your life. I don’t believe everything needs a label. And I don’t believe people need fixing.

Sometimes we need somewhere to say what is actually going on, without having to tidy it up first.

Sometimes we need another person to help us untangle the threads.

That’s what Disentanglement is about.

Recognition, not categorisation.

Curiosity. Clarity. Choice.
