Disentanglement

The Art of Clarity

Support for women who want to make sense of where they are, where they’ve been, and where they might go next.

Sometimes life becomes tangled.

Relationships.
Work.
Family.
Choices.
Old patterns.
Big changes.
Difficult experiences.

Sometimes there is a clear reason things feel complicated.

Sometimes there isn’t.

You don’t have to be in crisis, have experienced trauma, or have reached rock bottom to want some space to stop, think and work things through.

Disentanglement offers a calm, supportive and non-judgemental space to untangle what feels complicated, find some clarity and explore what comes next.

You remain the expert in your own life.

My role is not to tell you what to do. It’s to listen, ask useful questions, offer perspective and help you see the choices that may be available to you.

Clarity creates choice.

When things feel tangled

You might be dealing with:

  • a relationship that has become difficult or confusing
  • patterns you keep repeating and don’t quite understand
  • changes in work, family or relationships
  • low confidence or loss of self-trust
  • feeling overwhelmed or emotionally exhausted
  • difficult decisions
  • the aftermath of something painful
  • someone else’s behaviour or addiction affecting your life
  • experiences of abuse, coercion or trauma
  • simply knowing that something needs to change, without knowing what

You don’t need to have a neat explanation.

You don’t need to know exactly what you want.

And you don’t need to have everything falling apart.

Sometimes you just need somewhere to put the tangled bits.

A different way of working

Everyone is the expert in their own life.

My role isn’t to tell you what to do.

It is to listen, ask useful questions, offer different perspectives and, where appropriate, gently challenge patterns that may no longer be helping you.

Sometimes you need space to talk and be heard.

Sometimes you need help making sense of something that has become confusing.

Sometimes you need someone to help you see the choices that are already there.

We work at your pace, with your experience at the centre.

Support may draw upon a range of approaches, including:

  • CBT-informed techniques
  • Mindfulness
  • Motivational Interviewing
  • Life Coaching
  • NLP-informed approaches

The approach is tailored to the individual. Keep what is useful. Leave behind what isn’t.

Areas of support

Support can be helpful when life feels complicated, whether you’re dealing with a specific challenge or simply looking for clarity and a way forward.

Disentanglement offers support around:

  • Feeling stuck
  • Life changes and difficult decisions
  • Addiction and its impact on relationships and family life
  • Domestic violence and coercive control
  • Sexual abuse and trauma
  • Emotional abuse and manipulation
  • Trauma recovery
  • Boundaries and self-protection
  • Emotional regulation
  • Rebuilding confidence and self-trust
  • Moving forward after harm

You don’t need to arrive with all the answers.

You don’t even need to know exactly what you need.

Sometimes the first step is simply having somewhere safe to begin.

Clarity creates choice

Trauma and harmful experiences can leave life feeling confusing and tangled.

Understanding what has happened can help.

Understanding how trauma and survival responses can affect us can help.

Understanding that surviving something difficult is not weakness can help.

And with greater clarity, we may begin to recognise choices that weren’t visible before.

Clarity creates choice.

Every day is a new beginning.

The Disentanglement Ethos

Everyone is the expert in their own life.

Truth is an individual perception, and perception can change over time and with additional clarity.

Keep what is useful.
Leave behind what isn’t.

Clarity helps us to recognise and acknowledge the choices before us.

There is no prescribed way forward.

Your experience is your experience.

Our understanding of it may change as we see more clearly, learn more, and gain different perspectives.

Clarity creates choice.

Every day is a new beginning.
